Morning light never fails to bring a sense of renewal. There's a feeling of anticipation and hope for new things to come. Morning Light, the stunning 175 piece wood jigsaw puzzle depicts sunrise at Vancouver Island’s majestic Sombrio Beach, as captured by Victoria-based artist Mike Lathrop. He says the vibrant yet peaceful light felt as though “you could cut it with a knife.” This meditative puzzle with uniquely shaped pieces was grown in a digital laboratory with custom computer algorithms and makes for a special and slightly trickier puzzling experience.

Born and raised in Calgary, Mike Lathrop moved to Victoria to earn a degree in Visual Arts. After working in graphic design, motion graphics video and internet programming in Vancouver, he returned to Victoria in 2006, and then to painting in 2016. Mike has always felt the impact of the landscapes that surround him and enjoys exploring the outdoors on Vancouver Island. In his paintings, he captures his feeling of a moment in nature; and attempts to document the motion, the colour, the light and the overall experience of taking in our natural environment.

We ship via UPS, Purolator, FedEx, Canpar and Canada Post within Canada and estimated delivery time is 3-9 business days.
UPS does not deliver to Post Office Boxes.

Shipping to the United States
We ship via all major carriers in the U.S.A., including USPS. Estimated delivery time is 3-9 days and is subject to change by the carriers.
NOTE: we ship only to the contiguous United States, therefore we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or other offshore territories of the U.S. (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, etc.).
We do not ship to U.S. Post Office boxes or Army Post Office (APO) addresses.
The shipping charge to all valid addresses in the contiguous United States is a flat rate fee of $20.00 CAD.
Orders outside of Canada may be subject to taxes and import charges. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
We do not issue refunds for any packages that are returned to us from a carrier due to being undeliverable to a U.S. address. Please ensure all your shipping information is accurate.
** We are unfortunately not able to ship any of our large or oversized items to the United States. These items are marked as such in the item description.
Returns Policy
The Puzzle Nerds will accept return requests within 30 days of customer receipt of product. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition it was received in. It must be in its original packaging, including all exterior shrink wrap (if applicable), and have no visible signs of wear or use.
To notify us of your return and to receive a return authorization, please email us at hello@thepuzzlenerds.com and provide the email address used to place your order, the reason for your return, as well as your order number.
If your return is accepted, we'll send you further instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return authorization will not be accepted. Please make sure your Return Authorization number is clearly marked on the outside of your package. Please note that The Puzzle Nerds does not reimburse shipping costs incurred by customers for returning items.
Exceptions
Unfortunately, all Gift Cards and items marked FINAL SALE are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and notify us within 24 hours at hello@thepuzzlenerds.com if an item is defective, damaged, or if it is the wrong product so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Refunds
Once your package is received and we have inspected it, we will let you know if your return is approved or not. If approved, you will automatically be refunded the amount of the item plus the initial shipping cost for the item to be shipped to you on your original payment method.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for returns to be received and processed. Remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund as well.
The Puzzle Nerds is not responsible for lost returns.
